Horsehands - Sirs (2013)
—Shirts and Skins
Horsehands is a post-punk/noise rock band from Boston, Massachusetts that mix frenetic mathy guitars with darting hooks and melodies. You’ll catch a lot of punk, math rock, post-hardcore, post-punk, and noise rock influences, but their guitar heavy sound reminds me most of the underrated Wales outfit, Mclusky.
Shirts and Skins is a song from their latest album, Sirs, and shines a spotlight on their ever-shifting sound that thrusts at your ears from all directions. If you like your music fast-paced, jarring, with a lot of pluck-and-stop action, you should let Horsehands spastically gallop all over your face.
